In 2022 the city of Amsterdam turned 747! ⁠

In honor of this birthday the OBA public libraries of Amsterdam published a short story for children about an important figure in Amsterdam's history, Aletta Jacobs.
Aletta was a Dutch women's suffrage activist and the first female physician in the Netherlands. She started her own independent doctor's practice in the middle of Amsterdam, where she helped impoverished women for free.
